Building Community Relationships!

EKJP were very pleased to have been asked by our local Kununurra Police to prepare a Shield for use in coming years as the trophy for basketball and netball games held between Kununurra Police and high school aged Indigenous girls from the Kununurra Girls Academy. We were advised that the purpose of these games was to build on community relationships between Indigenous youth and our local Police and EKJP were very pleased to support this. The wood used was local mahogany and …this was cut, sanded and oiled by supervising staff and job seekers working at our Mango Street activity space. As you can see the end result is beautiful and perfectly showcases the metal boab purchased from Walkabout Souvenirs. John Vos, EKJP Chief Executive Officer is seen here presenting the Shield to Senior Constable Stephanie Gannaway and First Class Constable Blair Moulton.Website image
